A fast-growing upright rounded shrub with silvery-gray leaves and brilliantly colored yellow-orange blooms appearing in Spring and Summer. Grows to about 5 feet tall and wide. A diverse plant that is very drought tolerant, can take reflected heat which makes it ideal for south and west facing walls, and can even be used in flower arrangement. If drought becomes too intense, Indian Mallow may defoliate until it receives water again. Can tolerate a wide variety of soil, however, make sure it is well drained. Native to the Sonoran Desert of California and throughout the Southwest. Hardy to 25 deg. F.
