Burgundy Cordyline
Cordyline Design-a-Line
An impressive cultivar of the larger Cordyline australis, the Design-A-Line Cordyline stays low and clumping. This variety has a dynamic bold foliage and can be used a single specamin or mass planting. The blades are also somewhat thinner than most other Cordylines which makes it seem more of an ornamental grass. The thinner blades also means that it tends to weep a little more and tends to have more movement when the breeze kicks up. The Burgundy Cordyline has increased greatly in popularity being that it stays a little more 'under control' than other Cordyline varieties. Native to New Zealand. USDA zones 8-11. Hardy to 20 deg. F.
