- Blue Chalk Sticks tolerates deer, seaside and drought. Great for Southwestern ranch styles. South Africa native. Mildly toxic. Suitable for Xeriscape. Makes a wonderful dense ground cover with it's bold blue-green slender meaty leaves. Hardy to 20 deg. F.
