The Mickey Rockrose, sometimes called Variegated Sageleaf Rockrose, is a vibrantly colored shrub up to about 3' tall by 2.5-3' wide and has a mounding growth habit. It has a slow growth rate but worth the wait! Plant in full sun. Prefers Alkaline soil. The leaves are variegated with a soft serration. Cistus x hybridus should not be over-watered during the Summer months. Beautiful white flowers with a yellow center appear in Spring/Summer. This plants is also heat-tolerant so it is suitable for many of the harsher climates of Southern California. It will also attracts Bees and is somewhat deer resistant. USDA Zones 7-10.
