Limonium is a versitile evergreen perennial with large bold leaves giving way to tall flower spikes in the Summer. Drought tolerant once established and can withstand many soil conditions but will thrive the best with good drainage. Seacost tolerant and requires little maintenance. Pull out dead undergrowth once or twice a year as desired. Can naturalize so do not use Limonium near riparian areas. Pairing plants include Salvia, Penstemon, Agaves, Senecio and other succulents. Also called Statice. Hardy to 30 deg. F. Native to the Canary Islands.
