An impressive upright plant, the Sundowner New Zealand Flax makes an incredible accent!  Use it to highlight architecture, flank an intry for symetry, or in a large potted arrangement.  Phormium 'Sundowner' will reach up to about 6 feet tall, but can get even taller if conditions allow.  It can be grown in sun or shade, and is fairly drought tolerant once established.  It can also tolerate seacoast conditions.  The foliage tones can vary in different conditions, but typically has a rosey, bronze, and creamy variegations.  Hardy to about 20 deg. F.
