Arizona Hybrid Tea Rose is all about warm, glowing color and that classic rose form. The blooms come through in shades of golden yellow with hints of orange or copper, especially as they mature, giving them a really rich, sunset-like tone.

Each flower is typically borne on its own long stem, which is what you want from a hybrid tea—great for cutting and bringing indoors. The blooms are full and well shaped, opening slowly and holding their form nicely.

The plant itself grows in an upright, somewhat narrow habit with glossy green foliage that provides a clean backdrop for the flowers. It works well in dedicated rose beds, but you can also mix it into borders if you want to bring in that traditional rose look without going full formal.

It blooms in cycles throughout the growing season, especially if you keep up with deadheading. Like most roses, it rewards a bit of attention with more flowers.

Arizona Hybrid Tea Rose grows best in full sun and prefers well drained soil. Regular watering and feeding will help it perform at its best, along with seasonal pruning to maintain shape and encourage new growth.

It typically reaches about 4 to 6 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, forming an upright shrub. It is well suited for USDA zones 6 through 10 and performs well in warm climates. The foliage is deciduous to semi evergreen depending on conditions. This plant can also thrive in Zone 10 as we often see it in Southern California landscapes.

This plant has some toxicity and may cause irritation or illness if ingested, so it is best to plant with care around pets and children.

The flowers attract pollinators such as bees and are excellent for cutting.

It is generally deer resistant, though roses may occasionally be browsed. Rabbits may nibble young growth.

Arizona Hybrid Tea Rose fits especially well into formal, cottage, and Mediterranean garden designs, where its warm color and classic bloom form can be used as a focal point.

This is one I like using when a space needs warmth. That golden-orange color plays really well with stucco, stone, and other earthy materials you see a lot in SoCal. If you’re cutting flowers regularly, it actually helps the plant produce more, so don’t be shy about bringing those blooms inside.
