Rosa x ‘Noare’, commonly known as Flower Carpet Rose or Red Carpet Rose, is a low growing, spreading rose that’s all about easy color and low maintenance performance. It’s a big shift from traditional roses, offering a more relaxed look without the same level of care.

The flowers are typically a vibrant pink, appearing in clusters rather than single stems. They’re smaller than hybrid tea roses, but they bloom in abundance and repeat consistently throughout the growing season, often from spring into fall.

The foliage is dense, glossy, and tends to stay clean, which is part of what makes this series so popular. It forms a compact, spreading mound that fills in nicely without getting too tall or leggy.

Because of its growth habit, it works really well as a groundcover rose, along borders, or in mass plantings where you want a continuous layer of color. It’s also a good option for slopes or areas where a traditional rose might feel too formal.

Rosa ‘Noare’ grows best in full sun and prefers well drained soil. It benefits from regular watering while establishing, but is generally more forgiving than other roses once established.

It typically stays around 2 to 3 feet tall and can spread 3 to 5 feet wide, forming a dense, low mound. It is well suited for USDA zones 5 through 10 and performs well in a range of climates. 

This plant has some toxicity and may cause irritation or illness if ingested, so it is best to plant with care around pets and children.

The flowers attract pollinators such as bees.

It is generally deer resistant, though occasional browsing may occur.

Rosa x ‘Noare’ fits especially well into Mediterranean, cottage, and mass planting designs, where it can provide long lasting color with minimal upkeep.
