An incredibly unique drought-tolerant srhub, the Euphorbia milii is commonly referred to as the Crown of Thorns. It has sharp pointed tips densly covering it's woody bracts. It's noted that Jesus Christ wore this plant on his head at the time of his crucifixion, hence the name Crown of Thorns. It has an impressive bloom from Spring lasting until Fall in many climates. It also performs well in poor soils. Many also grow Euphorbia milii as an indoor plant. Maintenance is relatively low and it's tolerant of deer and rabbits. USDA Zones 9-11.
