- Coleonema pulchrum ‘Sunset Gold’, commonly known as Breath of Heaven, is a soft, fine textured shrub that brings a warm, glowing tone into the landscape. Native to South Africa, it’s especially valued for its light, airy feel and ability to brighten up planting combinations.
- The foliage is made up of very fine, needle like leaves that create a feathery look. What makes this variety stand out is the golden color, which can shift to warmer tones in cooler weather. It almost has a luminous quality when the light hits it.
- In late winter into spring, small pink flowers appear along the stems. They are delicate and not overly bold, but when the plant is covered in bloom, it adds a subtle layer of color that works really well with the foliage.
- It naturally grows into a loose, rounded shrub with a slightly open habit. This makes it a great choice for softening edges, filling space between larger plants, or adding contrast next to heavier, more structured forms.
