- Nandina domestica, commonly known as Heavenly Bamboo, is a versatile evergreen shrub that brings year round interest through foliage color and seasonal change. It’s a go to plant when you want something that evolves throughout the year without requiring much maintenance.
- The foliage is finely textured and layered, starting out with fresh green tones and often taking on red or bronze hues with new growth or cooler weather. In fall and winter, the color deepens, adding warmth and contrast to the landscape.
- In late spring to early summer, it produces small white flowers held above the foliage, followed by bright red berries that persist into winter. These berries add a strong seasonal element and stand out nicely against the foliage.
