• Aloe nobilis, commonly known as Golden Tooth Aloe, is a compact, clumping succulent that brings both texture and a bit of color to the landscape. It forms dense rosettes that multiply over time, creating a low, spreading colony.
• The leaves are bright green with small, golden to orange teeth along the edges. When grown in full sun or during cooler weather, the foliage can take on warmer tones, with hints of orange or red that add to its visual interest.
• It stays relatively low but spreads outward as it produces offsets, making it a good option for filling in space in succulent gardens or along borders. Over time, it creates a full, layered look without getting too tall or unruly.
• In late winter to spring, it sends up short flower stalks with tubular orange blooms that attract hummingbirds and pollinators.
• Aloe nobilis grows best in full sun to partial shade and requires well drained soil. It is very drought tolerant once established and performs well in low water landscapes.
• It typically stays around 1 to 2 feet tall and can spread several feet wide as it forms clusters. It is well suited for USDA zones 9 through 11 and is sensitive to frost, tolerating temperatures down to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The foliage is evergreen in mild climates. 
• This plant has low to moderate toxicity and may cause irritation if ingested, so it is best to plant with care around pets and children.
• The flowers attract pollinators such as bees and are especially attractive to hummingbirds.
• It is generally deer and rabbit resistant, making it a dependable option for low maintenance plantings.
• Aloe nobilis fits especially well into Mediterranean, succulent, and xeriscape garden designs, where its form and color can be used to create texture and fill space.
