- The Carrotwood Tree is very popular in Southern California for it's predictable growth habit into an upright, formal looking shade tree. Cupaniopsis is an evergreen tree which produces flowers in the spring giving way to inedible clusters of berries in the Summer. Great for traditional, ranch, contemporary, modern style gardens. Will drop pods so this tree is not recommened in close proximity to a pool. Roots can become invasive if not provided deep watering.
