Twin Flowered Agave
Agave geminiflora
A beautiful slender-leaved Agave, this plant makes a statement in the drought-tolerant garden! It's compact blades create a neat symetrical pattern and contrasting white curly hairs adorn the edges. It will grow slowly to about 2 to 3 feet tall and wide. Small yellow flowers will appear once the plant reaches it's maturity after about 10 years. Make sure not to plant it too close to pathways as the points are quite sharp. The Twin Flowered Agave is incredibly drought tolerant and is suitable for Xeriscaping. It also does well in seaside coastal conditions and will attract wildlife. It needs very little care; just keep it away from reflected heat and protect from hot afternoon sun.
