Foreground:
These are smaller plants that are typically placed in the foreground of the landscape, such as a bordering plant along a pathway or adjacent to a lawn space. Behind these plants would be taller growing Middleground and Background plants. Foreground plants can range from creeping groundcovers like Rosemary and Thyme, low-mounding shrubs like Cuphea and Ceanothus, small flowering perennials such as Geranium, Lamb’s Ear, and many succulent varieties.
